  • Wastewater Treatment Plant, Bandewadi, Nagpur and Pench Dam Project at Kamthi Khairi, Dt. Nagpur
    Date of Industrial Visit : 18/03/2019 - 19/03/2019
    The visit was arranged at Wastewater Treatment Plant Bandewadi, Nagpur on dated 18th March 2019. The Purpose of visit is to collaborate the theoretical and practical knowledge and to know the various technical units thoroughly.
    This plant is having a capacity of 220MLD. Here conventional method ASP (Activated Sludge Process) unit is closed now and introduces new technique of CBR (Continuous Bed Reactor) and gives better result.
    This plant is constructed near NMC dumping ground at Bhandewadi, Nagpur. This is joint project of NMC and MAHAGENCO.
    MAHAGENCO has signed the MOU with NMC in support of NMC’s water reuse, planning and to supply treated wastewater from Nagpur Munciple sewage treatment plant as water linkage to meet additional demand of proposed expansion plant at TPS at Koradi.
    On 19th March 2019 students have visited Pench Dam Project Constructed on Pench Godawari river at Kamthi Khairi, Dt. Nagpur. The catchment area of dam is about 4273 sq.km. The gross storage, live storage and dead storage of the dam is about 181.98, 184.98 & 39 Million liter cube. This visit helped students to know different components of dam as well as its working & operations.  
  • Guest lecture by Er. Abhishek Dhamankar (Youngest IES Officer)
    Date of Guest lecture : 16/03/2019
    The Guest lecture was arranged under the student forum (F.O.R.C.E.) Forum of Rising Civil Engineers in the Department of Civil Engineering, on dated 16th March 2019. The Guest Person was Er. Abhishek Dhamankar (Youngest IES officer) delivered the lecture on carrier Guidance and how to prepare for competitive exams.
      The session commenced with the welcome address given by, Prof. Mohammad Zuhair H.O.D. & Vice Pricipal of PRPCEM, and introduced to profile of respected guest. The students and faculty found the session to be highly informative and useful. Finally the session was concluded by Prof. S.S. Saraf.
  • Site Visit at Salbardi & H.G. Infrastructure, Near Morshi
    Date of Site Visit : 21/09/2018
    To understand the folds, faults and different rocks (Engineering Geology) & for getting knowledge of construction of Cement concrete road, Construction of cross drainage structures, & working of batch mix plant, Civil Engineering department has organized visit on Salbardi & Morshi road project for developing & giving practical knowledge to second year students. The visit was organized on Friday dated 21/09/2018 under the students forum (F.O.R.C.E).Students got the knowledge about the geology by actually observing the different rocks, folds & faults at salbardi. Students were also seen the working of batch mix plant & construction procedure of cement concrete pavement at morshi road project. Project Engineer Er.P.B.Bhagwat explained the difficulties actually coming on site & solution to the same.
  • Site Visit to Sewagram Development Plant
    Date of Site Visit : 06/09/2018
    Department has organized a site visit for third year students under a forum
    FORCE, at Sewagram Development Plant located near Bapu Kuti, Wardha on 06th
    September 2018 for fulfillment of practical approach of students. During the same,
    the structural elements along with architectural parameters involved in construction
    of community hall and assembly hall were studied. It was helpful for students as
    they observed technical parameters conversed during their curriculum and correlate
    it with their applications on the various places of site visit.
  • Inauguration of Students Forum (F.O.R.C.E.)

    Ex student of Department of Civil Engineering Mr. Mandar Deshmukh Pass out Year 2012, is working in Bajaj Finance Limited, Pune. He shares his Site experiences and also discussed the recent technologies and need of industries required in students.
  • Alumni Talk with Final Year Students of Department of Civil Engineering by Ms. Sneha Korpe

    Ex student of Department of Civil Engineering Ms. Sneha Korpe Pass out Year 2015, qualified the GATE 2016, She completed her Post Graduation in Environmental Engineering and recently got the admission for full time PhD at NIT Warangal. She guided the Student for the Importance of Research work in Civil Engineering.
  • Alumni Talk with Final Year Students of Department of Civil & EXTC Engineering by Ms. Kalyani Ambhore
    Date of Alumni Talk : 09/07/2018
    Ex student of Department of Civil Engineering Ms. Kalyani Ambhore Pass out Year 2018, qualified the GATE 2018 Exam with 45 marks and got the admission for Post graduation to IIT (Bombay) Mumbai for the branch of Structural Engineering. She guided the Student for the GATE examination.

    ? 1) The prime objective of this STTP is to Study the applications & mathematical modeling of structural & geotechnical dynamics related to Civil Engineering structures.
